First Home Care believes in working to enable children, adolescents, families and adults to receive the care they need — in their homes and communities.

Welcome Message from Our CEO

Mother hugging child They say the one thing you can always count on is change. Most of us will go through various processes; we'll complain, we'll commiserate, and then we'll turn to our support networks and figure out what steps we have to take.

This simple process is a defining characteristic of First Home Care. At FHC, we realize that we cannot make assumptions that lives can readily be broken down into simple steps; just the contrary. At FHC we realize that when facing what seems to be overwhelming obstacles, our role is to help slow things down to gain perspective, seek consensus, and break it down into manageable steps using the strengths and resources our families have available to them.

We recognize that every family and every circumstance is different. We spend an extraordinary amount of time preparing our foster parents and staff in various skills such as non-violent crisis intervention, communication skills and CPR to name a few. Our case workers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. From Human Resources to the Finance department, FHC staff are dedicated to customer service and partnership with the families and communities we serve.

We pride ourselves on maintaining a small company feel. Our culture is defined by being flexible, doing what it takes to get the job done, and always searching for options to do it better. Coming full circle, times are changing ... and when you think about it, that's what times are supposed to do. Change is one constant in our lives. The key is how we anticipate the change and the plans we set in motion to deal with the change. This simple mindset is what distinguishes First Home Care and the families/communities we serve apart from others. I couldn't be more proud.
